we have a base in south france near perpignan,we cannot get astra 2 because of tall flats behind us,south ,does anyone know what other english speaking channels we can search for,east/west towards north.

This may be of use to you: en.kingofsat.net/search.php

Its basically a search engine which allows you to find satellite channels by a number of criteria, including country and language.
